I'm so excited about this web site and the avenues that it opens. I'm excited that we can share blessings and prayer requests here. This will be a wonderful tool. God bless!

Prayer Letter April 2011

April 2011

Dear Praying Friends,

I love the ministry that God has called me to do. God has given me a great team. I have been able to see great ministries. God has allowed me to encourage and spend time with pastors, and souls have been saved. I cannot wait to see what God is going to do in Peru.
Last week I spent several days at the Baptist Friends Conference in Knoxville. Bro. Schaap preached on Tuesday and did a phenomenal job. It is the privilege of my life to serve my preacher! Wednesday night, Bro. Luis Ramos preached. I got to see Bro. Ramos and talked to him briefly. He told me about a man whom I had won to Christ when I was at his church in November; he is still attending faithfully, and two weeks ago, he was baptized. Bro. Ramos told me that this man’s son is a Christian and lives in Washington State. He had been telling his father that he needed to begin attending church. He told his son, “The next person that invites me, I will go.” I was the one who knocked on his door, won him to Christ, and invited him to church. God is good!
As we travel on deputation, I have learned so much. Deputation is a ministry in itself. I have learned that it is just as needful to the missionary as it is to the church. I thank God for pastors who have allowed me to come in to present our ministry. People have been stirred and excited about what God is going to do in Peru. Many are committing to prayer and to fasting for this work. I look forward to seeing the fruit of answered prayer.
I am glad to report that my second son Zach trusted Christ as his Saviour on Sunday night, April 24. What a great blessing when our children come to the Lord. Thank you to all who have prayed for his salvation. Zach is very excited that he is saved. I pray that he always keeps the joy of his salvation.
Lastly, please pray for one of my team members, Paul Szabatin, and his family. His father passed into eternity on Sunday, April 24. On top of all of this, Paul and his family are preparing to go to Mexico for a season to begin language training. Pray for God’s grace for him. He is very valuable to me and our vision for Peru. Pray that he learns the language quickly.
